Nutella Creme Brulee

Nutella Creme Brulee

There is nothing like a naughty dessert. A decadent, creamy and chocolate-y treat to end the day on a positive note. Lola Bernabé López-Cózar is a very talented chef from Spain who has created the warmest dessert to feed the family. It is a quick bake and will be much appreciated by anyone with a sweet tooth. Enjoy.

Nutella Creme Brulee

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons of nutella
  • 100 gr of powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • Half a litre of cream (must have at least one 35% FAT)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 Preheat the oven to 100 ° C.

2. Using an electric mixer, whisk the egg yolks together with the sugar. We must beat until the mixture is fluffy and looks like a mousse and yolks have taken a very soft yellow color.

3. In a saucepan bring to boil the cream with the nutella. It is very important not to let it boil, so you have to be very attentive until the mixture is uniform and warm but not boiling.

4. Pour the cream and nutella on the sugar and yolk mixture and with help of your mixer, whisk the two mixtures together.

5. Fill a few ramekins with your chocolate custard until they are a finger below the rim.

6. Bake in the oven on 100 ° c for 60 minutes. Check your oven after 45 to make sure that you still have a wobble. You want the cream curdle and will the custard will thicken to an absolutely delicious texture.
