Perfect Roast Potato Recipe

Dear Tala Friends,

Use the following recipe to make a perfect batch of roast potatoes, ready to impress any guests or loved ones!

Ingredients

Large floury potatoes

2 tbsp olive oil

Sea salt

 

Equipment:

Large enamel Tala roaster

Saucepan

Colander

Tablespoon

Spatula

 

Directions:

 

1. Measure two tablespoons of olive into the large roaster

2. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit) and put the roaster in the oven so that it heats up with the oven

3. Whilst the oven is heating, peel the potatoes and cut into large chunks

4. Parboil the potatoes for ten minutes, then drain and leave to dry for a few minutes.

5. Carefully remove the piping hot roaster from the oven and, taking care not to splash yourself with the hot oil, tip in the potatoes and turn with the spatula ensuring they are covered with the oil. 

6. Return the roaster to the oven for 30 minutes, keeping an eye on them to check they are done. Turn them over as necessary with the spatula

7. Once they are a glorious golden brown, remove from the oven, sprinkle with a little sea salt, take to the table and serve directly from the dish
