Fish Tacos

Fresh, zesty, and full of flavour, these Fish Tacos are the perfect way to bring a little sunshine to your plate. Crisp golden fish wrapped in soft tortillas, topped with vibrant slaw and a squeeze of lime, they strike the perfect balance of light and satisfying. Ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun weekend meal, they’re guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Equipment:

Tala Lemon Reamer 

Ingredients:

2 cod fillets or any white fish of your choice 

1 teaspoon paprika 

1/2 chilli powder 

1/2 garlic powder 

1/2 teaspoon cumin

3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 

1 lime, juiced 

1/2 lemon, juiced

1/4 small red cabbage, shredded 

1 avocado, sliced

2 tomatoes, cut into eights 

2 green chillies, slices

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh coriander, roughly chopped 

8 small tortillas

Method:

1. Combine the paprika, chilli powder, cumin, garlic, lime juice, 1-2 tbsp of oil in a small bowl. Season with salt and mix.

2. Brush the fish, on both sides, with the marinade. Cook under the oven grill for about 10 mins.

3. In the meantime add the cabbage, previously shredded, to a medium bowl. Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice and remaining oil. Mix well and set aside.

4. While the oven is still hot, warm up the tortillas.

5. Fill each tortilla with the marinated cabbage, fish, avocado, tomatoes and sliced green chilli. Add some fresh coriander then fold.

6. Serve with chives and sour cream sauce.
