S'mores Cookie Bars

S'mores Cookie Bars

Equipment:
Tala Dusty Pink Stoneware Mixing Bowl
Tala Performance Square Baking Tin

Ingredients:
300g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
125g unsalted butter, melted
125g soft brown sugar
1 large egg
80ml maple syrup
100g dark chocolate chips
6 Epic Snax giant marshmallows

Method:
1. Slice each marshmallow into 3, set aside.
2. Beat the sugar and butter together until nice and creamy.
3. Add the egg and maple syrup and mix until well combined.
4. Fold in the flour, salt and baking powder.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Add 2/3 of the cookie dough to a square baking tray, lined with greaseproof baking paper, and flatten it with your hands.
7. Cover with a layer of sliced marshmallows.
8. Sprinkle the remaining cookie dough over the marshmallows layer.
9. Bake in a preheated oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4 for 20-25 mins.
10. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool down slightly before slicing.
