The perfect tool to smooth fondant icing on the sides and tops of special occasion bakes. Themed cakes are made easy with this flat edge cake smoother and the easy grip handle means that you can comfortably move the smoother in and over those hard to reach surfaces.

Instructions. 1. Roll out the icing with a Tala Fondant Rolling Pin. Dust the pin with a little icing sugar if it begins to stick. Keep rolling until it is large enough to cover the cake. 2. Fold the icing over the pin, lift it up and unroll the icing completely over the cake. 3. Smooth the icing into position with your hands, easing it round as you go. 4. Trim any excessive icing from the bottom of the cake with a sharp knife. 5. Work the smoother to and fro on the cake sides and in a circular motion on the top for a perfect finish. Baking tip: It is useful to have two smoothers- one for polishing and one to hold the cake in position.
